Calling All Llangan Legends — Let’s Transform Our Outdoor Spaces!

We need YOU — our incredible Llangan community — to help us breathe new life into areas of our school garden and outdoor learning spaces.

Llangan Primary School has always been more than just a school — it’s a community where families pull together to create something special for our children. Years ago, our legendary Dad’s Club transformed empty fields into our fantastic gardening space, complete with our much-loved polytunnel. Thanks to Mrs. Stevens and the children’s hard work — along with past volunteer days — our allotment areas, polytunnel, and arboretum are looking amazing. Now, we need your help to tackle the next areas needing some TLC!

We’re Calling On All Llangan Legends — Parents, Grandparents, Friends! Let’s roll up our sleeves and work together to:

    • Clear and tidy the polytunnel area to get it thriving again!

    • Cut back brambles, willow, and hedges in the corner of the school field to make space for new adventures.

We’re also working with the PTA to raise funds for an exciting new project — a Wellbeing Garden — a peaceful, nurturing space where children can relax, reflect, and recharge. The more hands we have now to tidy and prep the grounds, the quicker we can bring this vision to life!

    When?

    • Thursday, 3rd April

    • Saturday, 5th April

Bring your gloves, enthusiasm, and maybe even your best dad-jokes! Let’s make this a fun, community event to remember!

If you’re able to join us, please fill out this form: Volunteer Sign-Up Form

Let’s show what Team Llangan — and the Llangan Legends — can do! Together, we can make our school’s outdoor spaces even more incredible!

Best wishes, Mr Griffiths & Mrs Sue Stevens

    🌟 Non-School Uniform Day – Friday 14th March 🌟

The Llangan community has been asked to support a very special cause. Hasheena and her children have reached out to us to help an elderly lady in Pakistan named Khani, who has very little.

To show our support, we will be holding a non-school uniform day on Friday, 14th March. If your child would like to take part, they can make a donation via JustGiving (link to be shared next week).

The family will take gifts from the Llangan community to Khani and will share photos and videos with the children, showing the incredible difference they have made.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity – together, we can make a real impact! 💙 #LlanganCommunity #MakingADifference #NonUniformDay

  • Punctuality Matters

    ⏰ Punctuality Matters – A Polite Reminder
School starts at 8:55 am, and classroom doors open from 8:45 am (unless your child is attending Breakfast Club). Recently, we have noticed a growing number of children arriving later and later. This is a concern, as our first lesson (Maths) begins promptly at 9:00 am.

Arriving late not only disrupts the start of your child’s learning but also affects the rest of the class and delays teachers in completing registers. Additionally, staff supervising the school gates are being held back due to late arrivals, impacting the start of lessons.

    Published 01/02/25

🌟 A proud moment for Llangan Primary School! 🌟

Our Head Boy and Head Girl represented the school at the Vale of Glamorgan’s Super Ambassador event at the Civil Offices in Barry. They had the opportunity to meet other student leaders from across the region, learning about leadership, responsibility, and teamwork—core principles aligned with the rights of the child, ensuring every student’s voice is heard and valued.

Their enthusiasm and commitment to upholding these values truly reflect what it means to be a part of Team Llangan. We’re so proud of them for taking part in this inspiring event! 🙌
