Dosbarth Llywnog's Busy Week of Fun and Learning! 6.3.25

Hello, everyone! What an exciting week it has been in Dosbarth Llywnog! We've had so much fun celebrating two fantastic events: our school Eisteddfod and World Book Day. Let me take you through all the wonderful things we've done!
Eisteddfod Celebration ðŸŽðŸŽ¶
This week, we kicked off our Eisteddfod celebration with a bang! The Eisteddfod is a special Welsh tradition where we celebrate our love of language, culture, and creativity. There were so many exciting performances that showed off the talent in our class. From singing to dancing, everyone gave their best!
We also took part in some friendly competitions, where the hard work and effort of every pupil truly shone through. There were a range of challenges, from poetry, baking, modelling, handwriting to art displays, and the awards ceremony at the end was a proud moment for everyone. Whether we won a prize or not, we all felt like champions for taking part and showing off our skills.
World Book Day Extravaganza 📚✨
We also had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day! The day was filled with exciting reading and book-related activities that got everyone’s imagination flowing.
One of the highlights was the Kahoot quiz where we tested our knowledge of books, characters, and authors. It was a fun and competitive way to show off everything we've learned about our favourite stories and characters!
We also did some descriptive writing about the magical Chocolate Room from Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. It was amazing to see how creatively everyone described the smells, sights, and tastes of this sweet, magical place. Our room was filled with words like "scrumptious," "melting," and "dreamy" as we imagined being inside Willy Wonka's world!
In the afternoon, we went outside for some outdoor learning with Mrs. Stevens. We got to explore nature and learn in the fresh air, which was such a fun and refreshing experience!
Hot Chocolate and Snuggle Up Time ☕📖
To top off this wonderful day, we enjoyed a cozy hot chocolate with our classmates, and it was the perfect treat! As we sipped our drinks, we had some special snuggle-up time. Mrs Antoniou read us a book and we settled in for a quiet, peaceful story session. It was so nice to enjoy a story with our friends, relaxing and getting lost in our imaginations.
What a busy and exciting week it has been in Dosbarth Llwynog! From performing in the Eisteddfod to celebrating the magic of books on World Book Day, we've had so much fun and learned so much. Well done to everyone for taking part and making these events so special! We can't wait for the next adventure!
Until next time, happy reading and learning, Dosbarth Llwynog! 🌟📚
