Week ending 15.11

Our inquiry has gathered pace this week, bringing together all the knowledge and skills we have acquired this term.

Dosbarth Llwynog have worked their socks off this week. In literacy, we've been exploring what makes a good story ending. We've discovered that there are lots of different types of story endings, from cliches, to cliffhangers and plot twists.

In maths, we've been grappling with line graphs and added in some prime, square and cubed numbers for good measure!

In our enquiry lessons this week, we've been exploring how the Collieries Act of 1842 changed the lives of workers. We used our critical thinking skills to then think beyond the experience of the workers to think about how the act might have impacted positively and negatively on workers and colliery owners.

Next week, we are excited to get started on creating our own websites. We are going to use Google Sites to organise all of our learning into an interactive website that we will share with you during our jump out afternoon, on Tuesday 3rd December.
