Brilliant Bristol Aquarium!

This week has been packed with exciting learning opportunities! From hands-on science experiments to outstanding maths achievements and an unforgettable trip to the Bristol Aquarium!

In our latest science experiment, we explored the fascinating reaction between shells and vinegar to test for carbon dioxide. As the shells fizzed and dissolved, we discovered the power of chemical reactions and how acids interact with calcium carbonate. This engaging experiment helped us understand the effects of ocean acidification and the importance of protecting marine life. We also used the Thinking Hats as we explored different perspectives to design a sea bin in groups.

World Maths Day brought out the best in our young mathematicians, and as a class, we were ranked 1st in the UK on the Hall of Fame!

We also went to Bristol Aquarium this week! It was an unforgettable adventure! We had the opportunity to learn about marine life, ocean conservation, and the steps we can take to protect our planet. One of the highlights was designing our very own sea bins to help tackle ocean pollution.
