Eisteddfod and World Book Day 2025

What a week we have had!

Our school was filled with joy, music, and creativity as we celebrated our annual Eisteddfod! The sun shone brightly, setting the perfect scene for a day of festivities and cultural pride. The children showcased their incredible talents through song, art, drama and friendly competitions, making it a truly memorable event for everyone involved. The Year 3 children were very proud of their class performance of the legendary Welsh tale 'The Lady of the Lake'.

A highlight of the day was the traditional Twmpath – a lively Welsh folk dance that had everyone on their feet, moving to the rhythm of the music. Laughter and excitement filled the air as students and teachers danced together, making it an unforgettable experience.

As if one exciting event wasn’t enough, we continued our week of fun by celebrating World Book Day in style! This year, our theme was all about comfort and storytelling, and the children arrived at school dressed in their comfiest pyjamas, ready to dive into their favourite books. With mugs of warm hot chocolate in hand, they cozied up in their classrooms, reading stories that transported them to magical worlds and exciting adventures.

Both our Eisteddfod and World Book Day celebrations were truly special, filled with laughter, learning, and a deep appreciation for both our culture and literature!
