Plaza Learning we 17.5.24
Diwali, poetry, maths, rugby and more!
Another wonderful week of learning in the plaza. We were extremely lucky to welcome our visitor Gethin to school and have a look at his rally car. We asked lots of enquiring questions about his car and learnt all about how he has built and modified it over the years. The children were enthralled and couldn't wait for a hands-on experience sitting in the car... Don't worry, no racing took place!
In Maths, we have been revising time, money and 2-step problem-solving.
In Literacy, we have been writing our own poems about summer, using all the skills and knowledge we have acquired over the past few weeks of poetry writing.
It was Year 5's turn for rugby this week with Cardiff Blues coach Callum. They thoroughly enjoyed the session and are progressing each week.
In RVE the pupils are continuing their learning on Hinduism. This week they have been learning about Diwali. They confidently designed their own diva lamps using a variety of creative resources and methods.
New spelling words for next week did not go home in red books today. Please find spelling lists on Google Classroom. (Week 7)
Have a wonderful weekend.
