Plaza Learning we 10.5.24
Expert engineers, maths problem-solving, poetry, rugby and more!
We started the week off with a visit from a retired engineer (Mrs Antoniou's Dad). He told us all about his long and exciting career as an engineer in different fields, the countries he worked in and the projects he was involved in. The children prepared and asked enquiring questions and were enthusiastic about the visit.
In Mathematics and Numeracy, we have been learning and revising units of time and developing our problem-solving skills in real life contexts.
In Literacy, we have continued to write our own poems, focusing on rhyme, alliteration, adjectives and verbs.
In Science, we looked at the components of a circuit and drew our own circuits. Next week we will experiment with circuits using different components.
