It's been lovely to have the children back after the Christmas break and hear about the adventures they got up to over the holidays!

This week, in enhanced provision we wrote letters to friends about what we had been up to over the break, built cosy animal shelters to protect the animals in Forage from the chilly weather, and explored art in the style of Piet Mondrian.

Tuesday marked an exciting start to our sustainability inquiry with our 'Jump In' event. Collaborating with different age groups, the children recreated pages from Love Our Earth by Jane Canbera, showcasing their creativity and teamwork.

In maths, we built on our understanding of numbers, exploring 1 more and 1 less of a given number, extending this to 2 more/less and 5 more/less. In literacy, inspired by Miss Hughes's animals, we created informative leaflets on how to look after animals. Our Welsh lessons continued with a focus on learning the parts of the body.

It’s been a fantastic start to the term, filled with learning, creativity, and collaboration!
