The Troll simply won't let the three Billy Goats Gruff cross the river, but how can we help? Perhaps the goats could cross the river a different way instead of crossing the bridge. This week the children conducted an experiment to find out which materials float and sink. After making predictions, we implemented the experiment and discovered that not all small things float. Nevertheless, we have a better understanding of which materials we could use to help the goats cross the river.  Within the classroom, we made our own trolls using playdoh, retold the story using masks and written speech bubbles in the writing corner. In our mathematics, we revisited 2d and 3d shape learning their names and recognising similarities and differences.  We also found them within the classroom. In literacy, we began writing the final draft of our very own stories, but how will they be presented? Time will tell.
