We looked closely at photographs, old and new, noticing the similarities and differences. Have you read the book Peepo by Helen and Allan Ahlberg? It has beautiful, detailed pictures of what it was like to be a baby in the 1940s. Playing the game "Guess my rule" rules, we sorted out a pile of items and realised that some items are what babies need - nappies, soft toys, blankets, changing mats etc.
