Another Wonderful Week in Lovely Llangan School!
This week has been full of exciting activities and achievements at Llangan Primary School. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:
The Great Llangan Bake Off
Monday saw the return of the Great Llangan Bake Off, with children across the school showcasing their amazing baking skills. Working together with their families at home, the children produced fantastic bakes, which were judged by grandparents from our school community. The judges had the tricky task of selecting winners from each year group, who were awarded medals for their efforts.
At the end of the day, the PTA held a cake sale, raising an impressive £292.53 to support their campaign to buy a new school stage. A huge thank you to our incredible PTA for organising this brilliant event and to everyone who participated. Check out more on the PTA Blog section of the website!
Stay Updated with Our School Calendar
At Llangan, we pride ourselves on offering a full calendar of exciting events to enrich our pupils’ learning and strengthen our community ties.
We aim to share event details in our weekly newsletter, on social media, and through Seesaw for Foundation Phase parents. If you’d like to check dates or learn about upcoming events, our school calendar is regularly updated by Mrs. Hale and can be accessed via the school website or the school news app.
Christmas Events
Stay tuned for our upcoming Christmas activities in December! A full list will be shared soon.
PC Laura Visits Llangan
On Wednesday, our local Community Safety Officer, PC Laura, visited the school to speak with pupils about anti-social behaviour. She explained what it is and how young people can work with the police to create safe and happy communities.
Outdoor Learning Highlights
Outdoor Learning at Llangan has been packed with creativity and hands-on experiences:
- Year 5/6 had a fantastic day with knitting expert Mrs. Christmas, who inspired them with her creations. They also showcased their teamwork and problem-solving skills by building an impressive den in our arboretum.
- Year 1/2 explored camouflage through bug hunting and scavenger hunts, learning how animals blend into their surroundings.
- Year 3 got hands-on with composting, creating mini “Rotbots” to explore nature’s recycling process.
After-School Clubs
Our after-school clubs are in full swing! This week:
- Foundation Phase pupils in Infant Cookery Club made healthy fruit salads by chopping and preparing fruit.
- Sewing Club members are busy crafting Christmas decorations.
For details on all our clubs, visit the Enrichment Programme section on our website.
