Prefects
Year 6 Prefects at Llangan Primary School
At Llangan Primary School, we are proud to have a dedicated group of Year 6 Prefects who represent the best of our school community. Our prefects serve as role models for their peers and younger pupils, reflecting the values we hold dear at Llangan. These values include Adaptability, Communication, Cooperation, Enquiry, Morality, Resilience, Respect, and Thoughtfulness.
Our prefects are selected for their ability to lead by example and their commitment to maintaining a positive, inclusive atmosphere within the school. They wear their prefect badges with pride, helping to support staff, fellow pupils, and school events while embodying these core values:
- Adaptability: Our prefects demonstrate flexibility by embracing new challenges, adapting to changes in routine, and responding positively to different situations.
- Communication: Prefects are confident communicators, able to express themselves clearly and thoughtfully in different contexts, from leading assemblies to working with staff and pupils.
- Cooperation: Working as part of a team is vital for our prefects, who contribute to the school by supporting peers and participating in team-based activities that foster fairness and teamwork.
- Enquiry: Prefects are curious and thoughtful, always willing to ask questions, seek solutions, and encourage others to explore new ideas and perspectives.
- Morality: Our prefects uphold strong moral values, demonstrating honesty, fairness, and integrity in their interactions with others.
- Resilience: Prefects face challenges with perseverance and a positive attitude, demonstrating that setbacks can be overcome with determination and effort.
- Respect: Prefects model respectful behaviour, treating everyone within the school community with kindness and understanding, while maintaining high personal standards.
- Thoughtfulness: Prefects are encouraged to be considerate of others' feelings and needs, whether by offering help, sharing ideas, or leading by example through acts of kindness.

Why Become a Prefect?
Being a prefect is an exciting opportunity for our Year 6 pupils to develop leadership skills and take on a meaningful role within the school. It allows them to enhance their communication and organisational abilities while making a positive contribution to our school community.
Our prefects exemplify what it means to live out Llangan Primary’s values of Adaptability, Communication, Cooperation, Enquiry, Morality, Resilience, Respect, and Thoughtfulness, making them an essential part of what makes our school special.
We are incredibly proud of our prefect team and the role they play in making Llangan Primary a welcoming, inclusive, and inspiring environment for all.
