🌿❄️ #LlanganOutdoorLearning - Friday, 14th February ❄️🌿
What an amazing day of outdoor learning we had, even though the weather was a little on the chilly side! Big thanks and congratulations to Year 1/2 for showing incredible dedication to the task—every single child was rocking their wellies! 🎉👏
Here’s a rundown of what we got up to on our exciting outdoor adventure:
🔨 Year 1/2 kicked things off by beginning the construction of a willow hurdle. With mallets in hand, the children secured the upright posts and started the tricky weaving process. Their efforts, using those little hands to get the job done, were absolutely brilliant! 🛠️🌿
🐦 Year 3 got stuck in by making more bird fat balls to hang up on the hurdle. They even found time to place the fat balls onto the structure before time ran out. What a great team effort!
🌱 Year 5/6 worked on planting onion sets, with each child taking responsibility for their own little patch. Along with planting, the children also designed their own bunting flags to add some colour and creativity to our learning environment. And of course, they kept up the momentum by continuing to build the willow hurdle with determination and teamwork.
The day was a great success, and we can’t wait for the weather to warm up a little so we can get planting and watch our little garden projects flourish! 🌞🌻
Huge thanks to all the children for their hard work and enthusiasm! We’re so proud of what everyone achieved today. Enjoy the weekend, everyone, and keep those wellies ready for the next adventure! 🙌
