Parents’ Evening – Thank You!
On Tuesday and Thursday, we welcomed parents into school to discuss their children’s progress. A huge thank you to everyone who attended—our turnout was an incredible 98%! These meetings are so important in ensuring we work together to support every child’s learning journey.

Welsh Water Workshops 🚰
On Friday, children in Years 3, 4, 5, and 6 took part in fantastic workshops led by Welsh Water. They learned all about the importance of water efficiency at home and how small changes can make a big difference. The team also delivered an engaging whole-school assembly, reinforcing the message in a fun and interactive way.

Llangan Netball Team Update! 🏐
Our netball team had a tough start at the Urdd Netball Tournament in Cardiff, but they showed incredible resilience and determination. After two challenging matches, they bounced back in style with a fantastic 9-0 victory—a brilliant achievement! Da iawn, team!

Wrap-Around Childcare – Now Open!
Last Monday, we officially launched our wrap-around childcare provision, allowing our Nursery children to stay from 11:30 am to 3:20 pm. It’s been a fantastic start, with plenty of play, discovery, and new friendships forming. If you’re interested in a place for your child or would like more information, please get in touch—we’d love to hear from you!

Looking Ahead to This Week

📍 Monday, 12th February – Y1/2 Trip to Rest Bay
Our Year 1 and 2 pupils are off to Rest Bay for an exciting trip linked to their inquiry, ‘Save Our Seas.’ They’ll be exploring the coastline and learning about ways to protect our oceans. Fingers crossed for good weather!

🌍 Tuesday, 11th February – Safer Internet Day
This Tuesday, we’ll be marking Safer Internet Day with activities across the school to help our children become responsible, respectful, and safe online. Pupils will take part in discussions and lessons focusing on online safety, digital wellbeing, and how to use the internet in positive ways. We encourage parents to continue these conversations at home—look out for resources and tips that we’ll be sharing!

🦸 Thursday, 15th February – PTA Superhero Fun Night!
Our next PTA event is a Superhero Fun Night from 3:30 – 5:15 pm in the school hall. The evening includes:
🎬 A short film
🎲 Games & activities
🍿 Popcorn & drinks
🎨 Superhero crafts
🌟 Special guests!

Tickets are £5 via ParentPay—it’s set to be a brilliant event, so don’t miss out!

🌿 Outdoor Learning Update
Due to scheduling changes, Mrs. Stevens’ Outdoor Learning sessions will move from Thursday to Friday this week. Please ensure children come dressed appropriately for the weather.
