Another busy week in Plaza Tri! 

We have continued to work on place value in Maths by ordering, comparing and rounding numbers within 1000, 10,000, 100,000 and 1,000,000. Next week we will be moving on to mental strategies of addition and subtraction of whole numbers and using inverse operations to check answers. Please continue to practise timetables at home. 

In Literacy, we have fully immersed ourselves in exploring and comparing a variety of non-chronological reports, identifying the features and creating our own success criteria to identify what makes an excellent report. Next week we will use the success criteria we created to write our first draft of our own non-chronological reports. 

Weekly spelling tests take place on a Friday. New spelling lists for the next week can then be found on Google Classroom. Edshed is updated weekly with new spelling assignments. Please continue to learn weekly spellings at home. 

Lots of reading records have been misplaced, so new (green) reading records have been sent home this week. Please ensure that your child is recording every book they are reading at home with a small comment. Welsh reading books have been chosen by children in my Literacy group this week. Remember to change reading books when finished!
