This week we continued our Arts project journey with Marilyn and we had an amazing treat - a real honour! The children met a real celebrity - Vernesta Cyril. A lady who has many awards to her name. Namely, an OBE (!!!), A Pride of Britain award, UK Midwife of the year and Founder of South-East Wales Equality council, to name just a few. She has also been awarded many awards for her work and support of the Windrush generation. The children had lots of great questions to ask her, and she was a pleasure to meet. It was a real honour for us all. As Vernesta said, “People will not always remember what you say, but they will remember the way you made them feel.”

We cannot wait for next week!
