Practising our skills

This week in Year one and two, it has very much been a skills-led week. The children have been focusing on their listening skills, in particular listening to understand. It is a tricky skill to master; listening whilst processing information at the same time. So, we have been carrying out activities and games to practise this skill. We have also focused on our letter formation of ‘j’ and ‘i’, two letters which sometimes get mixed up. We have been focusing on the size and where we place the letters, as well as addressing any misconceptions.
